  • B.S. in Missions from Crown College; M.A. in Clinical Christian Counseling, and Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Psychology from Cornerstone University, Lake Charles, LA.
  • Professional Clinical Member and Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor Advanced Certification with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA)
  • Board Certified in Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy, Crisis and Abuse Therapy, Death and Grief Therapy, Child and Adolescent Therapy
  • Ordained with The Christian and Missionary Alliance since 1975; licensed by the North Central District of the C&MA
  • Over 30 years as a church pastor

Personal:

Dr. Cotner is a native of Toledo, Ohio and has served as a pastor in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota.  He has been married to Nadine for 49 years, and they have two children and one grandson.  The Cotners reside in Brooklyn Park, MN.
